Job SummaryThe Hair Braider is responsible for providing guests with poolside hair braiding services. Must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and maintain a high level of customer service standards. Must have the ability to perform services using proper techniques, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism at all times. Scheduling, dependability, and flexibility are a must.

This part-time position requires availability for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts, as well as all holidays.

Responsibilities

Understand and abide by the TRILOGY and St. Somewhere Spa policies and procedures.

Provide hotel guests with hair braiding services (French braids, cornrows, etc).

Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests’ needs and concerns with a professional and pleasant manner.

Interact cooperatively and with consideration towards guest and co-workers.

Anticipate guest’s needs and adhere to St. Somewhere Spa and TRILOGY’s standards for guest service, including FORBES 5 Star Standards.

Communicates guest problems or complaints to the Spa Manager on Duty.

Maintain safety and sanitation and disinfection standards.

Properly clean and sanitize products, rooms, tools and equipment, following TRILOGY and State Governing Boards requirements and guidelines.

Follow service rules and regulations under their license in the State.

Use all PPE and sanitation standards by TRILOGY and the State Governing Body.

Adhere to all Florida State Board standards and remain compliant with license requirements.

Ability to complete all hair services offered.

Decisions of a broad nature are made in accordance with general policy and procedures.

Qualifications

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.

Must have current FL Cosmetology License.

Must have at least 1-3 years Hair Braiding experience, preferably in a hotel/resort.

Cash and credit card handling experience, preferred

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions, as this position is located outdoors.

Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, and must be available on an “On Call” basis, if needed.

Must have ability to promote spa retail and services offered at the St. Somewhere Spa.

Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.

Must be organized, timely and detailed-oriented.

Basic Computer software skills.
