    St Stephen's Church, Belvedere, CA is in search of a Communications Associate to create and publish content for both internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate will be a strong, quick writer and graphic designer that can deliver relevant and timely content that engages our congregation and the wider community. The Communications Associate should thrive working as part of a small supportive team, while also being able to demonstrate a high-level of independence. The Communications Associate reports to the Rector and collaborates closely with the Rector, the Minister of Music, the Executive Assistant to the Rector, and the Associate Rector. This is a 7 hour/week position that requires collaborative work to be done on Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in-person in the office at 3 Bayview Avenue, Belvedere. Key Responsibilities - Quickly distill and synthesize often complex information into written materials, working against weekly deadlines. - Copyedit and proofread a mix our Sunday liturgical leaflets (or 'bulletins') to ensure they are accurate, grammatically correct, on-brand and on-strategy. - Manage our website (https://www.ststephenschurch.org) and our e-newsletter. - Interview parishioners to produce video assets whereby they tell their stories. - Produce graphics to be integrated into our Sunday worship livestream (https://www.youtube.com/ststephensbelvedere) Education and Experience - Training in writing/journalism strongly preferred. - Demonstrated experience editing and writing on deadline on a variety of topics. Competencies - Strong, quick writer with excellent proofreading skills. Familiarity with AP Style preferred. - Ability to craft compelling stories and engage multiple audiences effectively. - Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to juggle many projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines. - Positive, "can-do" attitude and a willingness to do what is necessary to get the job done. - Eagerness to take on new responsibilities. - Interest in the mission of an Episcopal parish committed to growth. - Ability to build strong relationships with parishioners and colleagues. - Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Divi Themes for Wordpress, PowerPoint, Slack.
