    St. Stephen's Episcopal School, a day and boarding school of 710 students (grades 6-12), is seeking a Computer Science and Design Department Chair for a full-time position beginning August 1, 2024.

    While St. Stephen's has offered computer science and design courses for many years, the Curriculum Committee and the Head of School have recently approved the creation of a distinct Computer Science and Design Department. The new Department Chair will have the opportunity to create and teach additional computer science and design courses and provide leadership in coordinating computer science and design courses and programs throughout grades 6-12. Courses currently offered at St. Stephen's include Introduction to Computer Science, Advanced Computer Science, App Development, Fabrication Workshop, Design with Impact, Web Development, Machine Learning / AI, and Independent Projects in Computer Science.

    Qualified candidates will be veteran teachers with experience in a similar role and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
