Licensed Practical Nurse /Registered Nurse FT
Exciting job opportunity working with infectious disease patients in a multi-disciplinary infectious disease team; including a case manager, infectious disease specialist, PrEP and HCV navigators. The applicant will educate and inform patients, partners and families with a new diagnosis of HIV and act as a patient advocate with referral to community support agencies as required (Ryan White Program). The applicant will assist in grant and data reporting as well as reporting to the Louisiana Department of Health. The applicant will provide support to patients having difficulty adhering to anti-retroviral therapy and follow up appointments.
Education
Required - Current License in Louisiana. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Experience
Required - Two to three years experience working with and maintaining confidential information and working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent organizational skills with attention to details
Good knowledge of infectious diseases (HIV, HCV)
Excellent computer skills, creating and maintaining spreadsheets
Good time management skills and self directed
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
