    St. Thomas Community Health Center is looking to add a LPN to our team to provide excellent care to our patients. Our mission to continue to provide excellent care to our community has allowed us to grow as an organization. We are looking for candidates that will utilize the nursing process to provide excellent care, demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, excellent communication skills and exercise proper clinical judgment while providing top quality care. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team or direct clinical staff and assist leadership with assigned duties. The candidate must be able to professionally interact with a multidisciplinary care team while demonstrating leadership skills, critical thinking and working as a team player.

    Education

    Required - High School diploma or equivalent

    Required - Current License in the state of Louisiana.

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Work Experience

    Required - at least 3 years of experience in an ambulatory care setting.

    Pediatric and Adult experience preferred

    Management/leadership experience required

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    Excellent organizational skills

    Excellent Leadership skills

    Able to proficiently lead a clinical team

    Good time management skills and with self-direction

    Demonstrates Good Judgement

    Good interpersonal skills

    Delegation skills

    Job Duties

    Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care through data gathering, planning and evaluation.

    Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served.

    Communicates effectively and professionally with all patients, guests, family members, and co-workers to ensure a quality patient experience.

    Adapts to rapid change in a positive manner throughout the day as needs of the unit/department change.

    Manages personal professional development and maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.

    Able to lead a team in daily clinic flow and report to the director
