  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The staff accountant will support the Playaway Products Finance team supporting general accounting functions within the organization.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Customer Onboarding – vendor packets, bank forms, online registration
    • Review and Manage all Accounts Receivable Aging accounts
    • Collaborate with Sales Team to collect all Aging balances
    • Reconcile Intercompany Sales Tax filings for states where organization has established nexus
    • Consortium and state/government contract reporting (monthly/quarterly)
    • Manage RFP process and open bids
    • Monthly Financial Reporting preparation
    • Work within financial reporting systems implementing operating procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency of organization’s accounting practices
    • Assist with cash monitoring and management through performing accurate bank reconciliations
    • Perform month-end close duties - balance sheet and income statement analysis and journal entries.
    • Backup to the AR Accounting Specialist role

    • Working knowledge of Netsuite (or another ERP) highly preferred, but not required
    • Ability to analyze large datasets with SQL. Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Power BI to explore, analyze and present data
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word
    • Minimum Associate’s Degree in Accounting
    • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role/responsibility
