    Experience:

    The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for guarantor compliance reporting to ensure the lenders receive the compliance certificates and a set of financial statement for construction loans in a timely manner and free of errors. The individual will review the loan agreements, gather the lender’s liquidity requirements for each loan, and evaluate whether guarantor financial statements are in compliance with liquidity requirements set forth by the lenders. This person will work closely with the legal, asset management, and corporate accounting departments as well as outside parties as required. Additionally, this person will be responsible for updating the investment management software with capital calls, distributions and new assets as well as providing the monthly reconciliation of investor’s contribution ad distributions between general ledger and the investment management software.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Prepare a quarterly guarantor compliance reporting package for the company’s loans based on the lender’s requirements

    • Ensure compliance with loan covenants and serving as the point of contact on financial questions from lenders

    • Work with other departments (legal, accounting, asset management) on obtaining information for compiling the reporting package

    • Updating the investment management software with distributions/capital calls/new assets

    • Prepare monthly investor contribution/distribution reconciliations between general ledger and investment management software and resolve variances

    • Help document internal processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls and increase efficiencies

    • Work with Finance Manager on process improvements and special projects as required

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

    • 3-5 years of relevant and progressive experience in area of specialization, preferred experience at family office

    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, be a self-starter and have comfort with fast paced environment

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a passion for attention to detail

    • Familiarity reading loan agreements is preferred

    • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Microsoft Excel (vlookup, if statements, pivot tables)

    • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Juniper Square is preferred
