Staff Accountant

Location: Onsite | Reports To: Accounting Manager | Type: Full-Time, Permanent | Salary: $85,000/year

What You'll Actually Do

You'll be the go-to person for accounts receivable across our portfolio of companies, with room to grow into broader responsibilities.

• Own AR operations — invoicing, collections, cash applications, and deduction resolution
• Handle journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations as part of month-end close
• Maintain balance sheet integrity through detailed account analysis
• Support AP, fixed assets, and expense accounting as needed
• Assist with financial reporting and internal management schedules
• Identify process inefficiencies and help improve workflows in a lean environment
• Partner daily with the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller — and work directly with the head of finance

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands accounting — not just software.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of hands-on accounting experience with a strong AR background
• Deductions experience is a real plus
• Solid understanding of debits and credits and how GAAP applies in real operations
• Experience working in ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills — pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and the ability to actually analyze data
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy

Nice to Have

• Experience in manufacturing accounting environments
• Familiarity with CSB or similar industry-specific GL systems
• Exposure to multi-entity accounting
• Background supporting month-end close cycles
