Staff Accountant Part-Time 25 hours per week In-Office - Owings Mills, MD

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who wants to make a meaningful difference? Positive Pathways, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant with strong DDA and LTSS experience to join our mission-driven team supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Role

As our Staff Accountant, you’ll be a key part of ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our DDA and LTSS programs. You’ll handle day-to-day accounting functions, manage billing and reporting, and support audits, all while contributing to the quality of services that help individuals live more independent, fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all accounting functions related to DDA and LTSS funding, billing, and reporting.

Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports.

Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Monitor budgets and provide timely financial updates to leadership.

Coordinate with auditors, funders, and state agencies as needed.

Qualifications

Required: Hands-on experience with LTSS software and DDA billing systems.

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting (DDA or LTSS experience strongly preferred).

Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools.

Solid understanding of Medicaid billing, funding structures, and compliance standards.

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or human services environments is a plus.

Schedule & Work Environment

On-site position – Owings Mills, MD

Monday–Friday | 5 hours per day (25 hours per week) FLEXIBLE
