Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in construction accounting and be comfortable handling reconciliations, journal entries, audits, and payroll functions. This role reports directly to the Controller and will support both project-specific and corporate financial processes. Key Responsibilities: ● Prepare and assist in generating financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements ● Perform monthly and weekly reconciliations (bank and balance sheet accounts) ● Collaborate with the project team to support budgeting, job costing, and financial planning ● Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure invoice coding accuracy and timely processing ● Support Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely billing and project compliance ● Handle payroll data entry, certified payroll reporting (LCP Tracker), and payroll reconciliations ● Assist with audits, month-end close, and various financial reports ● Contribute to special projects and process improvements as needed Requirements: ● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or equivalent professional experience) ● 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry – REQUIRED ● Proficient in Sage 100 Contractor – REQUIRED ● Familiarity with LCP Tracker and certified payroll reporting – preferred ● Experience with Procore – a plus ● Strong analytical and critical thinking skills ● Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines ● Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Why Join This Firm? ● Competitive salary with robust benefits ● Dynamic, team-oriented culture ● Exposure to high-profile construction projects ● Career advancement opportunities
