    Position Summary

    The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting Manager in the execution of day-to-day accounting and finance operations. This role is responsible for core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting needs, and assisting with special projects and process improvements within the Finance and Accounting department.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, including vendor invoice review, coding, and payment processing

    Communicate with vendors and internal operations personnel to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies

    Manage accounts receivable functions, including customer invoicing, payment processing, issuing credits, tracking returns, and sending statements and past-due reminders

    Review accounts payable batches and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance

    Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end close activities

    Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support financial statement accuracy

    Assist with generating monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements

    Track and maintain fixed asset records

    Support daily accounting operations and assist with ad hoc requests and special projects as needed

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

    Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role

    CPA or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred

    Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes

    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

    Experience with NetSuite; manufacturing, inventory, and distribution environments preferred

    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
