Key Responsibilities This position may be required to perform additional tasks, responsibilities, or duties as assigned:
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities
Maintain and update financial records in accordance with company policies and GAAP
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
Assist with audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
Monitor and maintain fixed asset schedules
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
Assist in tax filings and research
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve discrepancies or issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
1–3 years of accounting experience (internships included)
Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in corporate accounting or public accounting
CPA or CPA‑track candidates
Familiarity with ERP systems and automated accounting tools (Epicor/Solar Eclipse experience desired)
Desire for continuous improvement, team player, high integrity, positive “can do” attitude, able to meet deadlines
Work Environment
Full‑time position, Monday through Friday in Corydon, Indiana, with some flexibility after initial training period
