    Job Title: Staff Accountant & Financial Analyst Location: Remote Reports To: Director of Development and Chief of Staff Pay Range: $75,000–$90,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience)

    About the Role

    Parkworks Mechanical Systems is looking for a proactive and analytical Staff Accountant & Financial Analyst to join our growing team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the precision of accounting and the strategic thinking of financial planning. You will manage daily, monthly and annual accounting operations while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial analysis.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

    Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

    Support monthly close and reconciliation processes

    Assist with preparing internal financial reports and external financial statements

    Analyze financial data to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making

    Help develop and refine financial models and dashboards

    Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies

    Participate in the development of internal financial processes and systems

    Support audit preparation and respond to financial inquiries

    Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data integrity

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    1–3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis (internships may count)

    Strong foundation in GAAP and financial reporting

    Proficiency in spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and accounting/ERP software with required experience in QuickBooks/QBO.

    Experience or interest in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting

    Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking

    Strong communication and organizational skills

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment

    A growth mindset and interest in advancing into a more strategic finance role over time

    This is a remote position.
