We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic and growing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Execute and manage all functions of Payroll.
• Perform cost accounting functions for all projects and report on results.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, aging and collections.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, credit card statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
• Utilize QuickBooks desktop and online software for financial tracking and reporting.
• Support public accounting audits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Proven experience in financial services or public accounting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks desktop and online accounting software is required.
• Certified Payroll professional credentials if highly desirable.
• Experience with account reconciliation processes is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration within the team.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
