GLM is seeking a highly organized and proactive Staff Accountant to perform accounting related activities for GLM’s corporate account and client attractions. The Staff Accountant is responsible for a dynamic range of duties with a focus on financial accounting, general ledger and reporting, and will report directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable (AP)
- Prepare cash projection reports, distributions, and appropriate tax filings and payments
- Reconcile cash accounts
- Perform accounts receivable (AR) function
- Perform general ledger analysis and journal entries
- Manage invoicing and reconciliation
- Assist with client inventory and calculate cost of goods sold
- Review client financial statements
- Prepare financial statements and assist in closing books
- Prepare financial statements for required third party reporting
- Budget entry and reporting
- Oversight of point-of-sale system setup and operations
- Prepare files for annual budgeting
- Prepare files for annual reviews and audits
- Follow accounting industry standards and compliance requirements (GAAP)
- Document and continue improvement and implementation of accounting processes and procedures
- Create analysis, forecast, and assumptions for various venue strategies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5 years' experience in accounting required
- Accounting bachelor's degree required
- High School diploma required
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger and financial accounting
- Professionally mature and confident
- Highly organized and able to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Highly confidential
- Ability to independently problem solve without direction from management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Motivated and team oriented
- Proficiency with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, calendar applications and communications platforms with the ability to learn new software as needed.

While this is primarily a remote role, we are seeking candidates based in or near the Greater St. Louis area. Our team values in-person connection and collaboration, so we meet quarterly for training, team-building, and strategy sessions in the Greater STL area. Additionally, this position may involve occasional travel to client sites and industry conferences.
