    Salary: $65-80K

    Our client is a dedicated local government audit, advisory, and accounting CPA firm headquartered in Hollywood, Florida. Our ideal candidate enjoys varied and complex tasks that require independent and creative thinking, is committed to developing new client relationships, is motivated to use new technology to improve both the efficiency and quality of accounting services and wants to lead a growing team of accounting and audit professionals. Responsibilities include supporting the audit and accounting staff; managing a growing, client portfolio, and supervising the client accounting functions, (which involves managing employee workloads and reviewing client bookkeeping and accounting.)     • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
    • Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)
    • CPA (Prefered)
    • Government Audit: 2+ years (Preferred)
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Excellent communication skills

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Financial statement preparation and balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis
    • Examines and analyses accounting records to determine the financial status of the establishment and prepares financial reports concerning operating procedures.
    • Inspects items in books of original entry to determine if accepted accounting procedures were followed in recording transactions.
    • Prepares reports for management concerning the scope of audits, financial conditions found, and source and application funds
    • Bookkeeping & taxes for designated small business clients
    • Work closely with accounting, tax, and audit teams for government clients in preparing financial reports
    • Maintain development of general ledgers and financial statements for each client.
