We are looking for a diligent and dedicated candidate to join our Accounting department in a dynamic early-stage biotech company. This role has great potential for growth as the company is increasing their headcount to support expanding operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accurately maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Prepares account detail reports to support budget process or management requests
• Assist with providing supporting document requests in connection with annual audits
• Monitors accounts payable email inboxes for new invoices, reviews invoices for accuracy and processes them in Bill.com
• Responsible for organizing credit card receipts through corporate credit card tracking platform
• Conducts analysis on vendor payments to support annual 1099 reporting
• Assists and supports the Accounting team in a variety of functions with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or Associate of Arts Accounting degree required
• 2+ years in similar role
• Must be able to work on-site in our offices
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of accounting processes
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to adhere to deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Personal qualities of integrity, reliability, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Protego

Accounting knowledge and Excel proficiency test will be required.
