We are seeking a detail-driven Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in the tire molds manufacturing industry. This role will focus heavily on Accounts Receivable - including billing, collections, and maintaining aging reports - while also assisting with broader general ledger activities and month-end processes as needed. The ideal candidate has strong reconciliation skills, expert at prioritization, and is a great communicator to build both internal and external relationships. This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments across multiple locations and external customers regularly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Receivable:

    • Generate and issue accurate customer invoices for multiple locations in a timely manner using NetSuite and submitting through Ariba and other customer-preferred submission methods
    • Process and apply incoming payments, credit memos, and adjustments
    • Monitor accounts to ensure timely collections and follow up on past due balances
    • Maintain up-to-date and accurate AR aging reports
    • Respond to customer inquiries related to billing or payment discrepancies
    • Coordinate with VPs/Operations teams and customers to resolve invoice or purchase order issues
    • Record intercompany sales transactions
    • Ensure accurate entry of accrued receivables during month-end process

    General Accounting Support:

    • Process COGS and inventory accounting journal entries to align with recognized revenue and perform WIP reconciliations
    • Maintain and track fixed assets and related depreciation schedules
    • Support the month-end and year-end close processes with general ledger account reconciliations
    • Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls
    • Collaborate with operations to build out useful KPIs and ad-hoc reports

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 2+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
    • Multi-location / intercompany experience highly preferred
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
    • Proficient in NetSuite and Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, PivotTables)
    • Experience with Ariba is a plus
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with accuracy
    • Prior exposure to cost accounting or inventory systems
