We are looking for a temporary (4-5 weeks) staff accountant for our client located in Calumet Park. This is a 1st shift Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm

Pay rate $22- $25 depending on experience

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the month-end closing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

· Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

· Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payments.

· Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

· Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

· Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.

· Maintain organized and accurate financial records.

· Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications including Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple projects with urgent deadlines.

· Great time management and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, 365 Office or related software, Google Workspace specifically Gmail

· Ability to operate independently, under pressure, to perform multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness.

· High level of commitment to customer service and teamwork
