A rapidly growing data center company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their expanding team in Reno, NV. Since launching in 2019, the organization has grown from a small startup into a multi-market operation with active data center development, acquisitions, and expansion projects across the United States.

Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will support the accounting team with both monthly accounting responsibilities and day-to-day operational accounting functions. This role will work closely with leadership and internal teams to help manage reconciliations, purchase orders, journal entries, month-end processes, and construction-related accounting support.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable working in an evolving, growth-focused environment where processes are still being refined and improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with and eventually take ownership of portions of the month-end close process
- Prepare and manage journal entries
- Support accounting processes related to property management activity
- Assist with commissions and tax abatement tracking
- Help manage purchase orders and operational accounting workflows
- Communicate with construction teams and internal departments regarding purchase requests and approvals
- Support weekly payables and vendor-related accounting activity
- Assist with ERP implementation and process improvements
- Provide additional review and support across accounting operations
- Partner with leadership to help improve and refine accounting procedures as the company grows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2–4 years of accounting experience preferred
- Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of GAAP principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Pivot tables
- Formulas/functions
- Spreadsheet analysis
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems is a plus
- Multi-entity or property accounting experience is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
