What You'll Be Doing

General Accounting

• Prepare and post journal entries

• Complete account reconciliations

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

• Analyze account activity and resolve discrepancies

Project & Construction Accounting Support

• Assist with tracking construction and capital expenditures

• Support purchase order processing and project-related accounting activities

• Monitor project costs and expenditures

• Help maintain accurate records for ongoing development projects

Financial Reporting

• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for financial reporting

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities

• Generate reports and analysis for leadership

• Support audit requests and compliance requirements

ERP & Process Improvement

• Participate in the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics

• Help streamline accounting processes and workflows

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy

• Support system testing and data validation efforts

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with accounting leadership and operational teams

• Support special projects and company growth initiatives

• Contribute ideas that improve processes and overall department performance

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2-5 years of accounting experience

• Strong understanding of:

  • General Ledger Accounting

  • Journal Entries

  • Account Reconciliations

  • Month-End Close

  • Financial Reporting

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred

• Construction accounting experience

• Project accounting experience

• Experience with capital expenditures and fixed assets

• Experience working within a growing organization

• Microsoft Dynamics experience

• Public accounting background
