Job Description
501(c)(8) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented full-time, on-site Staff Accountant. Reporting to the Treasurer, the ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting the overall financial operations of the Lodge. This is a paid position with a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
Classify financial transactions accurately for tax reporting and compliance purposes.
Input data into from the Point-of-Sale System (Clover), Merchant Settlement Reports (Clover/Card Pointe), and reconcile against receipts and reports.
Reconcile payroll reports bi-weekly and ensure accurate tax filings with federal and state agencies.
Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, budget analysis, and performance measures.
Assist the Board and the Lodge’s managers with budget development support, financial analyses, process management, and reporting.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Experience in Accounting in non-profit organizations.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, non-profit financial reporting, and reconciliations.
