  • Responsibilities

    As an Accountant at Prestige Accounting & Consulting, you will take on a more advanced role, working directly with law firm clients to manage their financial operations. You will be responsible for preparing reconciliations, overseeing accounts, and ensuring compliance with IOLTA regulations. This role requires a keen understanding of legal accounting, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work independently on client deliverables. Responsibilities: • Perform advanced bank and credit card reconciliations, including three-way trust reconciliations for law firm clients. • Review and monitor IOLTA accounts to ensure compliance with state bar regulations and proper segregation of funds. • Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements to clients, providing analysis and insights. • Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and profitability reports for law firms • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and trust fund disbursements for clients. • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, collaborating with Senior Accountants as needed. • Provide client support for accounting-related inquiries and software troubleshooting. • Train and mentor Accountant I team members as needed. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 3 years of accounting experience, working inside a CPA firm with a preference for legal or professional services accounting. • Strong understanding of GAAP and legal trust accounting requirements. • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, PracticePanther). • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet strict deadlines. Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
