About the Role:
We are growing and are looking to add a full-time Staff Accountant to our team. We work directly with our small to midsize business clients, which provides the unique opportunity to gain a holistic understanding of how accounting impacts every aspect of a business. Working under a Controller/CFO, the Staff Accountant will manage the full accounting lifecycle for their assigned clients. The right candidate for this role has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is highly organized, and can manage multiple stakeholders.
This is a hybrid position, working four days per week in our Caldwell, NJ office and one day per week from your home office after a 90-day introductory period.
New hires will be awarded a $2,000 signing bonus after successfully completing their first 90 days.
Responsibilities/Duties:
● Responsible for managing 4 – 7 clients during any given time
● Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing
● Responsible for bank reconciliations
● Prepare journal entries
● Prepare account analysis
● Conduct and support CFO with monthly/yearly closings, on an accrual basis
Requirements:
● Knowledge of Accrual Accounting required
● Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
● 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or 4+ years of experience as a bookkeeper
● Proficiency in QuickBooks a plus
● Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook a plus
● Strong organizational skills
● Strong written and oral communication skills
