Job Summary
The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the company, with a focus on financial accuracy, compliance, and support. Key Responsibilities
Perform credit card and bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies promptly addressed.
Respond to license and insurance requests from vendors, partners, and internal departments.
Code accounts payable invoices that do not have associated purchase orders.
Support monthly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed.
Support other ad hoc projects as assigned by the Controller or Accounting Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
