    Sadler Electric Inc. is hiring for our accounting team. We are a Construction Electrical and Infrastructure Contractor who specializes in Heavy Highway, Traffic Signals & Roadway Lighting, Highway Signing as well as Drilled Shaft Construction Projects. As a member of our accounting team at Sadler Electric, you will be an integral part of the full scope of our accounting team including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, banking and CC reconciliation, and asset/fleet management. This role requires an ability to self-start, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.

    In this role you will participate in:

    • Accounts Payable : Review and process vendor payments, ensure accurate payment terms, and maintain accurate vendor records in conjunction with AP Staff entries
    • Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts : Record and deposit customer payments (both ACH and paper checks) in Online Banking Systems. Work with AR Staff for reconciliation of payments
    • General Ledger : Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll with assistance from External Accounting firm
    • Journal Entries : Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and other accounting adjustments, ensuring accurate financial records.
    • Asset Management : Provide new entries and updates to Depreciation Schedules for Equipment, Vehicles, and Other Assets.
    • Tax Reporting: Processing of weekly payroll tax withholdings, assist External Accounting Firm with quarterly tax reports and payments,

    Background and Experience Required:

    • Strong working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • 2+ years of QuickBooks and Payroll processing experience required

    · Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members

    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and get to the root cause of discrepancies

    Preferred experience:

    · Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree with equivalent experience preferred

    • Prior work experience in the construction industry

    · 2+ years Payroll processing experience preferred

    Work Environment:

    This is a full-time role that requires you to be in person five days per week with flexible working hours. General work times are 7-8AM Start with 4-5PM End times. Overtime is always available as needed
