Our client, located in Richmond, CA , is looking for an Accounting Associate. The company is a 25 year old established nonprofit serving Richmond and all of Contra Costa County.

Responsibilities:

• Take on many responsibilities to assist the Accounting Manager.
• Primary responsibility for Accounts Payable
• Responsible for daily cash/credit card activity
• Record ACH payments
• Implement and document all processes, policies, procedures and controls
• Asist with the month-end close procedures including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis of results
• Maintain and reconcile various Balance Sheet Accounts as required
• Maintain various excel sheets for analysis of operations
• Perform other special projects and analyses as directed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• 2 to 4 years progressive accounting experience
• Intermediate user of Excel
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online
