Staff Accountant - Inventory & Retail Accounting (On-site in Carson, CA)

Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant looking for a new challenge in the South Bay? Our client is a high-growth company in the retail sector seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join their team in Carson, CA. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers a competitive salary and growth opportunities.

Term: Full-time/Direct hire
Salary: Up to $95,000 DOE + 10% Bonus
Location: This is a fully on-site position at our office in Carson, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all aspects of inventory accounting, including costing, valuation, and reconciliation
• Work with the finance team to prepare and analyze financial statements, focusing on inventory-related accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and other accounting issues
• Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain and operations, to ensure accurate inventory tracking

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant, ideally within retail
• 2-3+ years of experience with retail and inventory accounting
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
