    Synergy IOM is looking to add an experienced Staff Accountant to our team to assist with a range of tasks within our accounting and finance department. This role represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to become an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the company in order to make a real impact. The leadership team is looking for a candidate who wants to dive in and take ownership of their responsibilities thereby driving increased performance within the organization. This role aims to strike a balance between autonomy for the candidate, while providing oversight and mentorship to enable the candidate to create such change. This is a role with an opportunity for upward mobility within the business based on candidate performance.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Manage accounting workflows such as invoicing, vendor payments, payroll and accounts receivable

    • Assist with monthly close process, monthly reporting, lender compliance, and other financial reporting aspects of the business

    • Assist with cash management, cash forecasting, and client/vendor payments

    • Participate in annual budgeting efforts for all business units, work with business unit leaders to derive inputs for budgeting process

    • Interface with operational colleagues to gather required information for accounting and finance responsibilities

    • Work directly with CEO and COO to accomplish other ad-hoc tasks

    Skills & Experience

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting-related role

    • Accounting degree preferred, or equivalent experience (Associate’s degree or higher accepted)

    • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

    • Self-motivated, ambitious, and disciplined

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Collaborative mindset / team player

    • Healthcare industry experience is a plus

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually, depending on experience

    This is a hybrid role where the candidate will typically work remotely but will also require periodic time in an office environment. The candidate must live in the Dallas Fort Worth Area.
