    The Glen is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to assist with the day-to-day accounting activities across our multi-facility campus. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, preparing monthly billing statements, and assisting with other accounting functions.

    Responsibilities as a Staff Accountant:

    Review and monitor financial accounting of each operation, reconciliation of accounts, preparation of adjustments to ensure accuracy of accounting, etc. Prepare standard monthly financial reports.

    Monitor cash balances daily, transfer funds as directed.

    Maintain fixed asset records of the organization.

    Monthly and annual reconciliation of donation records.

    Prepare work papers for audits of the financial records of the organization.

    Provide training and support to staff in accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures.

    Assist in operational and capital budget planning and preparation.

    Assist the Controller with compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and reporting requirements related to financial.

    Prepare and review monthly billing statements to be distributed to Resident/RP for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field.

    Knowledge of tax, laws, regulations.

    Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

    Must be people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.

    Must be able to work overtime as required.

    Well organized and self-motivated.

    Computer skills appropriate to job functions

    Physical Demands:

    Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area.

    Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 90 pounds.

    Extended periods of sitting, walking, typing, reaching, and bending

    Hand and finger dexterity to use computers and office equipment
