We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant. This position ensures the accuracy of financial records, safeguards company assets, and supports timely financial reporting.
****Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting, fixed assets, and state and local tax filings.
- Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger through regular account reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction reviews.
- Prepare weekly financial statements and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable financial regulations.
- Process journal entries and accruals to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts and fixed asset schedules.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for subsidiary entities.
- Analyze and reconcile perpetual inventory balances against the general ledger.
- Maintain detailed records of fixed asset transactions and depreciation.
- Respond to audit requests across multiple business units and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver required data.
- Collaborate with other accounting and finance professionals, as well as other departments, to support overall financial operations.
- Prepare periodic financial summaries for management, including reporting for respective business units.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience with fixed asset accounting software preferred.
