Staff Accountant

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across the organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Lead the month-end close process and prepare financial reports in line with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile all bank accounts, verify deposits, and address any bank inquiries.
- Process manual payroll entries, prepare daily cash flow reports, and ensure accurate reconciliation of corporate bank accounts.
- Support accounts payable and receivable transactions; resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions on a monthly basis.
- Oversee sales and use tax reporting, including online account setup and system integration for compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on corporate tax filings and payments.
- Manage compliance reporting related to healthcare provider payments under federal transparency laws.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, 1099s, W-9s, and various ad hoc reporting requests.
- Participate in internal audits and process improvements to strengthen financial controls and efficiency.
- Support the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Experience with payroll entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with sales/use tax reporting and corporate tax coordination is a plus.
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems; experience with SAP is a must
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
