Staff Attorney – Family Law

This position is open to both mid-level and senior family law attorneys who are looking for a long-term home to continue building their careers and reputations in family law.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload primarily focused in Wake County, with occasional matters in neighboring counties
Represent clients in family law issues including child custody, child support, equitable distribution, and spousal support
Handle cases through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation
Work closely with clients to provide sound legal counsel and effective advocacy
Contribute to the firm’s continued growth through high-quality legal work and community involvement
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in North Carolina
Minimum 3 years of experience in family law required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated courtroom and litigation experience
Ability to manage cases independently while also working collaboratively
Senior-level candidates should ideally bring a portable book of business and be board-certified or actively pursuing certification in family law
Compensation & Structure:
Salary plus commission structure
Target billable rate: $300–$400/hour
Minimum annual billable requirement: 1,200 hours
