    Position Overview

    Nooney & Solay, LLP is seeking a highly motivated Staff Attorney to support our transactional practice group. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with firm partners and staff in a collaborative environment while handling substantive legal work and direct client interaction.

    The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to manage a diverse caseload while maintaining high standards of legal accuracy, client service, and ethical practice.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Handle assigned legal matters from inception through resolution, under the guidance of firm leadership

    • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents

    • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties in a professional and timely manner

    • Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements

    • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

    Practice Areas

    • Estate planning

    • Probate and Trust Administration

    • Real Estate and Business Transactions

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

    • Active license to practice law in South Dakota or the ability/willingness to become licensed in South Dakota

    • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment

    • Prior law firm experience preferred, but not required for strong candidates
