JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Staff Facilities Engineer REPORTS TO: Director Facilities Engineering or Midstream Facilities Engineering Manager DEPARTMENT: Lease Operations – Corporate or Midstream Operations LOCATION: Denver, CO or Bridgeport, WV SAFETY DESIGNATION: Safety Sensitive POSITION TYPE: Full Time FLSA: Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under limited supervision, this position will:
Plan, design, and manage assigned production or midstream facilities by identifying and implementing systems and processes related to risk management, facility design and operation, and new technology implementation.
Collaborate with internal teams on planning and executing critical and complex projects. Lead design, cost estimation, and monitor annual budgets for facilities projects.
Support documentation review processes to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement process engineering modeling tools such as ProMax to simulate production and processing scenarios.
Lead development of safe work procedures for facilities construction, maintenance, and operations.
Modify technical guidelines and designs based on project scope and timelines.
Evaluate environmental and emission strategies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Utilize new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
Mentor and guide junior engineers as a technical expert.
Identify and resolve deficiencies in facility designs and processes, perform root cause analysis, and advise management on corrective measures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Licensure:
Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
Field of Study: Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical).
Minimum of 12 years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 3 years in midstream-related work.
Experience with production or midstream operations and regulatory compliance (air quality, ESG, etc.).
CORE COMPETENCIES
Strong knowledge of Marcellus and Utica shale basins.
Understanding of well pad and compressor station design, process flow diagrams, and equipment evaluation.
Proficiency with process modeling, mechanical design, and integrity management software.
Ability to recognize and mitigate operational risks through planning and evaluation.
Skilled in capital and operational cost evaluation.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.

Ability to review and approve technical drawings and specifications.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.

Must hold a valid driver’s license and meet insurance qualifications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Primarily office-based with exposure to computer screens.
