STAFF ACCOUNTANT – ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Our client has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant that will focus on full-cycle accounts payable.

• Manage all banking activity as it relates to Accounts Payable; to include reconciling ACH confirmations/rejections from the bank, uploading payment proposals, issuing stop payments and retrieving payment copies from banking websites
• Maintain communications between business units and third-party accounts payable processor. Provide and maintain signatory authority limits to AP processor
• Research and resolve escalated inquiries related to vendors, payment discrepancies, workflow approvals, etc.
• Review and approve vendor master data compliance and exception reports. Manage and process vendor banking information change requests.
• System Administrator for Travel Card provider
• Perform periodic reviews of audits completed by outsource team
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and Sarbanes Oxley testing
• Support the 1099/1042 process at year-end
• Assist with special projects, ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

EDUCATIONAL/ POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/BA in Accounting and/or Finance
• One or more years of experience
