    The Opportunity

Are you ready to rethink asset management by building shoulder-to-shoulder with the customers who actually use it? Astra is a small, fast-moving team that partners directly with top-tier global enterprise brands to co-innovate new capabilities across the asset lifecycle. We do not build in isolation and hand over a feature list. We sit with practitioners, learn what they are really trying to get done, and ship radically simple solutions that solve it.
We are an AI-native team, and AI-assisted coding is a large part of how a small team ships production-grade work at a pace that surprises our customers. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will own system designs that shape the product's architecture, lead technical conversations with enterprise stakeholders, and help shape the standards the team builds on. The work is deliberately broad and shifts as new opportunities emerge . If you are energized by ambiguity, by moving without a finished spec, and by being close enough to the customer to hear the problem before anyone has named it, this is where you will do your best work.

    What you'll do

    • Design and ship full-stack features end to end through fast iterations, from spec through validation, and serve as a role model for shipping robust code quickly.

    • Lead how the team applies AI across the development lifecycle, and write the guardrails that keep AI-assisted work reliable.

    • Own full system designs and lead development reviews, contributing designs that shape the product's fundamental architecture and offering constructive critique that improves system design.

    • Prototype rapidly across frontend, backend, web apps, and agents; put working software in front of stakeholders early and iterate on feedback.

    • Lead technical conversations with enterprise stakeholders and validate solutions directly with them.

    • Translate ambiguous, sometimes conflicting requirements into a clear, minimal solution that solves what matters to the customer.

    • Anticipate enterprise realities such as IT, security, and non-functional requirements, and plan for them early.

    • Encode architectural knowledge so teammates and AI agents can build on your work, and mentor engineers as we grow the team.

    What you need to succeed

    • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or a Bachelor's with equivalent experience, and 10+ years of software development experience.

    • Deep full-stack expertise across front-end and back-end technologies, including a including strong JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and Node.js.

    • AI-native by practice, not by curiosity. You treat AI as a collaborator, are hands-on with tools such as Claude Code or Codex, and apply spec-driven, guardrailed workflows across your full development process. This is a core requirement of the role.

    • Able to own full system designs and shape the architecture of the products you work on.

    • Strong customer-facing judgment. You can lead a technical discussion with enterprise stakeholders, drive it toward the real outcome, and listen closely enough to catch the need behind the request.

    • Comfort with ambiguity. You thrive without a finished spec, generate momentum in greenfield situations, and stay effective when the requirements, the prerequisites, or the customer's own answers are still taking shape.

    • Ability to navigate enterprise environments, including IT, security, and compliance dynamics, and to anticipate non-functional requirements early.

    • A collaborative approach to raising the team: presenting solutions, prioritizing well, mentoring, and helping others grow.

    • Bonus: experience with digital asset management, AEM Assets, or enterprise content distribution.
