Job Description
Renesas is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support and lead facilities engineering activities across its company‑owned 120‑acre semiconductor manufacturing campus , comprising approximately 528,000 square feet of controlled indoor space across six buildings supporting wafer fabrication, testing, and critical support operations.
This role provides technical ownership and leadership for complex mechanical systems essential to semiconductor manufacturing, including HVAC, process piping, plumbing, fire protection systems, and the Industrial / DI Water Plant. The Staff Mechanical Engineer will partner closely with operations, maintenance, construction, and external vendors to ensure high system reliability, regulatory compliance, cost control, and long‑term campus sustainability.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment
(semiconductor, high‑tech manufacturing, power generation, or similar facilities preferred)
Demonstrated experience supporting mechanical facilities systems such as HVAC, piping, and industrial utilities
Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction practices
Ability to independently lead projects and resolve complex technical issues
