    This is a rapidly growing product with a clear path to B2B marketing leadership. The customer base is expanding fast, and so is the complexity of what we need to deliver. It requires engineers who can see around corners, who build systems that bend without breaking, and who take genuine pride in what ships.

    What You'll Do

    - Design and build the data pipelines - real-time streaming, batch ETL, CDC - that form the backbone of AJO-B2B

    - Compose data access solutions and APIs that other engineering teams, ML systems, and customer products rely on

    - Make architectural decisions that balance speed, reliability, and maintainability across Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, Airflow, MySQL stack

    - Mentor engineers and elevate the team's capabilities through design reviews, pairing, and collaborative learning

    - Champion engineering rigor: observability, testing, documentation, and operational excellence

    - Partner with product and leadership to translate ambitious goals into systems that actually work at scale

    - Integrate AI tooling into development workflows to ship quality features

    - Build technical specifications, prototypes and presentations to communicate your ideas

    What You Need to Succeed

    - 7+ years building software, with substantial experience in data-intensive systems

    - Strong programming in Java or Scala with Spring Boot

    - Deep understanding of distributed systems - you know how they fail and how to design for resilience

    - Production experience with streaming (Kafka), batch processing (Spark), and orchestration (Airflow)

    - Solid command of relational (MySQL/Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases

    - Experience with Docket and CI/CD

    - A track record of technical leadership: shaping architecture, mentoring peers, driving decisions through influence

    - Communication skills that make complex systems understandable to any audience

    - Ownership mentality - you don't wait for permission to fix what's broken

    - Comfort with ambiguity, adaptability to evolving priorities, and the ability to work autonomously.

    Expected Pay Range:
    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $159,200 -- $301,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

    In California, the pay range for this position is $208,300 - $301,600

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
