    CERNER APPLICATION ANALYST (REV CYCLE ANALYST)

     

    Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst possesses advanced knowledge of Cerner Registration and Scheduling applications and EMR concepts. Knows and applies complex practices and procedures of various Cerner applications. Has achieved in-depth knowledge and understanding of multiple Cerner based applications. Has the ability to use established procedures to perform assigned tasks in their area of expertise. With minimal supervision, performs best practice Cerner design, workflows, and programming to support comprehensive Revenue Cycle requirements. The position requires evaluation and documentation of processes and business requirements when performing duties related to their specialty. The Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst can assist and advise project leads with project tasks. Also, can lead small projects and resolve service requests and incidents with little supervision. Requires an experienced analyst who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions within designated specialty. Conduct gap analysis between application and stated customer requirements and collaborate with Architects and other applications staff to estimate project impact.

    The Revenue Cycle Applications Analyst can design and build application forms, reports, and alerts to satisfy customer requirements. Experience with custom rules in Cerner PM for hospital registration conversations is required. Perform quality assurance testing, troubleshooting and problem solving. Log service requests and serve as a liaison with vendor support resources. Share on-call responsibilities with others on the applications team. Seek ways to improve quality, standardization, efficiency, effectiveness of various clinical and business processes.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field preferred. 2 to 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of related education and experience related certification preferred. Cerner experience desired. Completion of Cerner Fundamentals is preferred.
