    About Us: Join our dynamic team in Baton Rouge as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. We are a leading EPC firm at the forefront of designing highly specialized fixed equipment for the oil & gas, petrochemical, and plastics manufacturing sectors.

    Your Impactful Role:

    Reporting Structure: Directly report to the Global Mechanical Engineering Manager.

    Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment, emphasizing mutual respect, open communication, and mentorship to junior engineers.

    Engineering Deliverables: Prepare engineering deliverables in adherence to the Company Management System, legislation, project requirements, and international standards. Review and ensure accuracy of deliverables produced by team members.

    Project Management: Manage project scope, budgets, and schedules. Identify and document any project scope growth, applying project procedures for cost and time reimbursement. Demonstrate commercial awareness regarding changes on scope, budget, and schedule.

    Risk Management: Identify project risks and implement effective risk mitigation measures. Communicate and implement opportunities for cost reduction and schedule improvement.

    Efficiency Enhancement: Strive for continuous improvement in project and team efficiency, maintaining technical quality and safety. Provide technical information and support to the project team.

    Compliance: Adhere to the Company Management System and QHSE requirements. Attend technical design/project reviews to ensure compliance with customers' needs and safety requirements.

    Customer Relations: Understand and satisfy customer needs through active communication. Develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

    Mentorship: Provide mentorship to junior engineers. Identify and present training opportunities for individual and departmental growth.

    Background Profile:

    Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    License: PE License required in Texas and Louisiana preferred, or ability to get this.

    Experience: 8-15 years of relevant experience in engineering design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or plastics manufacturing facility mechanical equipment.

    Workflow Understanding: General understanding of the cradle-to-grave workflow for an EPC project, with awareness of interdepartmental dependencies.

    Team Skills: Capable of working in a close-knit team and independently. Leadership skills to lead large teams of multi-skilled engineers.

    Attributes: Organized, accountable, confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated, and a self-starter with high integrity.

    Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry codes, product safety standards, and regulations.

    Travel: Comfortable with occasional international travel.

    Citizenship: US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status.

    Preferred Skills:

    Experience: 10+ years in various mechanical engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a multidisciplinary petrochemical design environment.

    Certifications: ASME Section VIII, Division 2 High-Pressure Experience preferred.

    Knowledge: Familiarity with ASME VIII Division 3 and other codes/regulations. Knowledge of FEA analysis and fitness for service assessments (API 579) would be of interest.

    Expertise: Experience with machinery/packages such as thermal oxidizers, pneumatic conveying systems, extruder/pelletizers, etc., is desirable.

    Material Selection: Knowledge of material selection and familiarity with international codes for steel types used in the petrochemical sector.

    Thermal Rating: Knowledge of thermal rating for heat exchangers would be beneficial.
