    Responsibilities:

    This role is situated within the Interconnect Solutions Research & Development group based in Marlborough, MA. We are currently in search of a Chemist. The selected candidate will be dedicated to enhancing and innovating chemistries and processes within the realm of Electroplating research.

    Primary tasks and duties:

    Exploring and advancing novel metallization products and processes, as well as assessing emerging technologies.

    Assisting in project advancement by conducting experiments, from initial evaluation to practical application.

    Assessing new metallization products using established analytical techniques and protocols within the metallization R&D team.

    Adhering to top-tier environmental health and safety practices.

    Qualifications:

    Initial stage experimentation:

    Proven ability to autonomously carry out experiments and assessments, both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a strong commitment to maintaining safety across all operations.

    Familiarity with the application of experimental design and statistical methods for experiment planning and analysis is advantageous.

    Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to established protocols within the metallization group.

    Active participation in a team-based approach to product development, involving the exchange of knowledge, concepts, and innovative thinking.

    Technical:

    Proficiency in practical laboratory skills is essential.

    A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant applied science/engineering discipline is required.

    Preference for candidates with practical experience in electrochemistry or electrochemical techniques, inorganic chemistry, surface science, and/or metallization methods.

    Avid learner with the ability to rapidly acquire expertise in an unfamiliar work domain.

    Must Haves:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant applied science/engineering discipline is required.
    • Excellent practical laboratory skills are required.
    • Experience with a wide range of analytical techniques including SEM, HPLC, GC, NMR, Microscopy, wet chemical, electrochemical, and surface analysis methods.

    Nice to Haves:

    • Candidates with experience in electrochemistry or electrochemical techniques, inorganic chemistry, surface science, and/or metallization techniques are highly preferred.
    • Knowledge of the use of experimental design and statistics for planning and analyzing experiments is preferred.
