    MITCHEL HEATING IS LOOKING FOR TRIM AND BACK OUT PERSON.

    As part of their job, these professionals are responsible for installing air conditioning and ventilation equipment, ducts and duct fittings, doing paperwork, adhering to company procedures, and following safety procedures.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Job duties include but are not limited to:
    • Selects type of material according to product being installed, knowledge of duct materials and job standards and specifications.
    • May do layout of fittings and duct, including manually locating and marking dimensions and reference lines on sheet metal, flex and duct pipe.
    • May receive equipment/materials at site.
    • May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment to join together copper tubing.
    • Install HVAC equipment, fans, grilles, dampers, wiring, and piping as directed.
    • May fabricate and install assemblies and systems in manufacturing plants or work sites according to blueprints, specifications and other resource information using hand tools, portable power tools and other specialized equipment.
    • Inspects assemblies and installation work for conformance with plans, specifications and trade standards using naked eye as well as measuring instruments, such as measuring tape, rule, or level.
    • Measure, size, cut and apply duct insulation
    • Clean up debris generated by work activity.
    • Performs routine fabrication and/or installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
    • Repair or replace defective installed work.
    • Assists in training of new employees on installation related subjects.
    • Conducts non-installation work in support of the Fabrication Shop and Service Departments, as assigned.
    • Conforms to all applicable company Policies and Procedures.
    • Performs related duties as directed by the applicable Job Foreman or Project Manager.
    • Keep tools needed in trade up to date.
    • Cross training in refrigeration, piping and controls.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Possess a mechanical aptitude.
    • Understand shop math.
    • Work skillfully with tools, duct materials and machines.
    • Visualize objects in three-dimensions from drawings, sketches or blueprints.
    • Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
    • Perform a variety of duties that may change often.
    • Provide own tools, extension cords required for installation.
    • Know state and local codes.

    EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

    • Have construction experience.
    • Have good oral and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply the project plans.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

    Experience:

    • HVAC: 2 years (Preferred)

    License/Certification:

    • EPA Type II (Preferred)
