Scheduling Coordinator – Home Care (Team Lead)
Location: Margate, FL
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
A well-established private duty Home Care agency based in Margate, FL is seeking a proactive and experienced Scheduling Coordinator to lead and manage its scheduling team. This role not only involves hands-on scheduling but also overseeing other staffing coordinators, ensuring smooth operations across a census of approximately 110 clients. Ideal candidates will have a background in home care or home health scheduling and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily scheduling operations for private duty home care clients across a 110-client census
- Supervise and provide support to a team of staffing/scheduling coordinators, including training, performance monitoring, and workflow management
- Ensure all shifts are covered promptly and that caregiver assignments align with client needs and care plans
- Serve as the point of escalation for difficult scheduling or staffing issues
- Monitor and maintain compliance with internal scheduling standards and regulatory requirements
- Communicate regularly with caregivers, clients, and families regarding scheduling updates and changes
- Collaborate closely with HR, clinical, and administrative teams to support onboarding, caregiver utilization, and retention
- Maintain accurate documentation and caregiver credentials in scheduling software
- Analyze scheduling metrics and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and caregiver satisfaction
- Participate in after-hours or on-call scheduling rotation as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in home care or home health scheduling
- 1+ year of experience in team leadership, supervisor, or coordinator management role preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office (experience with systems like ClearCare or AxisCare is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree a plus
