    OVERVIEW

    STAGES® Learning Materials is a quickly-scaling company dedicated to creating quality physical and digital teaching tools to help educators provide the best learning opportunities for students on the autism spectrum.

    Apply to a part-time, paid summer internship at Stages and contribute to the design and implementation of our next-generation digital learning platform. Learn the ins and outs of business, technology, and education from industry leaders, including the Education Market Association's 2020 chair and former Teaching Fellow from the Harvard Graduate School of Education Angela Nelson. You will have the opportunity to hone your skills at full stack development, and gain an understanding of what a career in the fast-evolving field of EdTech can look like.

    CORE SKILLS

    • Experience with Java • Experience with RESTful design principles • Experience with MySQL or a similar relational database • Strong communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills • Ability to effectively work both in-person and virtually with team members • Passion for continuous learning

    DESIRED SKILLS

    • Angular, AWS, Maven, Hibernate, GraphQL • DevOps, quality assurance experience • Experience with Craft CMS • Experience with HubSpot CRM • Experience in EdTech, particularly special education

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    • Current student or recent college graduate (bachelor's degree earned 2020 or 2021)
    • Strong academic record with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; ALL MAJORS ARE WELCOME
    • Exceptional written, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain strong, professional relationships
    • A keen attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and troubleshoot is crucial; problem solving and analytical capability
    • Superior time management and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated interest in business, education, technology, or social entrepreneurship sectors
    • A self-starter, disciplined, and competitive professional
    • Able to work independently with some direction
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
    • Someone able to come into our offices in Vista, CA, in our safe and clean environment
