STAFF ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to oversee various Supplies Distributor and PFS accounting activity. While PFSweb is primarily an outsourcing company, we also are the master distributor of certain products for IBM and other clients. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, willing to learn and willing to get involved in the detail. Excel skills are a must, as are good analytical and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reconcile general ledger account activity to subledger activity
• Review incoming invoices for price and quantity accuracy and assist dispute resolution process
• Reconcile, analyze and research inventory cost and quantity variance general ledger accounts
• Perform inventory cost adjustments as required
• Prepare and review gross margin analysis to identify and correct discrepancies
• Reconcile accounts payable balance to vendor statement
• Help with audit request
• Complete monthly general ledger close responsibilities, including recording journal entries and non-inventory general ledger account reconciliations as needed
• Expedited freight accruals and analysis
• Variance Analysis for selected cost centers
• Intercompany reconciliations between foreign companies
• Some overtime required; heavier at quarter-end and year-end; other times unpredictable due to special projects
• Minimal travel; possibly 1-2 times a year
• Special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Required
• 2-4 years’ experience in an accounting position, Required
• Strong accounting skills and general understanding of GAAP
• General ledger account reconciliation experience is a plus
• Familiarity of Microsoft Excel, ability to become proficient a must
• Understanding of foreign currency transactions, a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• Willing to perform research in detail transactions

2. identifies each patient using the hospital patient identification policy, establish accurate patient identification prior to the delivery of patient services.
3. efficiently and effectively provides procedural support for a variety of patient procedures.
4. Coordinates radiographic imaging to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care and assists with the management of the workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments in the absence of the radiology supervisor.
5. Applies appropriate measures in order to minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, employees and others. Utilizes and abides by the Image Wisely & Image Gently website.
6. Responsible for achieving quality assurance measures and requirements.
7. Responsible for maintaining inventory.
8. Successfully participates in continuing education, meetings, and training.
