Job Title: Distribution Warehousing Inc Stand-Up Forklift Operator

Category: Distribution – Shipping/Receiving

Job Purpose:

The Forklift Operator will perform any and all of the tasks to receive, inventory and ship material in a manner that meets company standards for accuracy, safety, security, productivity and quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operating Forklifts and necessary equipment.

Operate all equipment in a safe manner to prevent injury and damage.

Perform proper inspections of equipment before use.

Use Personal Protective Equipment when required and as necessary.

Properly verify product information for all shipping and receiving.

Properly process all shipping and receiving paperwork.

Pick, verify, and load orders for shipment according to company and customer guidelines

Perform cycle counts, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Inspect, Identify, and report all discrepancies and damages to meet quality standards.

Ensure job assignments are completed accurately and free of damage.

Conduct job duties in a manner that promotes safety and quality.

Follow and comply with all company and customer policies

As well as all OSHA and government safety standards.

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

Performs all other duties as assigned by Departmental Supervisor, Operations or General Manager.

Job Requirements:

Ability to lift 75 pounds continuously throughout the shift, standing, bending, squatting and/or walking for extended periods throughout the shift.

Ability to read, speak and understand the English language on a basic level.

Ability to follow direction as instructed

Ability to count accurately and perform basic math.

Reliable attendance to include being on time and working until released when work is completed.

Available to work on scheduled Crete weekends. (Every other weekend)

Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. No use of CBD or Delta 8/9 products.

Working Conditions:

May be required to lift 75 pounds. Must be capable of standing, bending, squatting and/or walking for extended periods of time. Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to outside temperature extremes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment that require detailed hand movements and coordination, possible exposure to hazardous products, dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation. Be able to adequately assess surroundings and be aware of moving equipment.

Experience:

Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Stand up forklift experience preferred.
