As a member of the Standard Calibration, Inc.'s (SCI) team, the Janitor reports directly to the Production 

Coordinator and will perform various functions throughout 2 locations in Chesapeake.

The Janitor cleans and keeps in an orderly condition building working areas and washrooms, or premises of an office, commercial or other establishment. Duties involve a combination of the following: sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and polishing floors; removing chips, trash and other refuse; dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings; providing supplies and minor maintenance services and cleaning restrooms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space
• Empties trash and garbage containers
• Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities
• Replaces air conditioner filters
• Notifies management of major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
• Cleans debris and snow from sidewalks in the event of inclement weather
• Mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and maintains flower beds
• Keeps trees and bushes trimmed and maintained

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to travel from one location to another
