    OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – SOUTHEAST TERRITORY

    At Standard Paints, Inc. we are an industrial coatings manufacture that has specialized in paints and exterior wood stains since 1952. Our corporate office and manufacturing facilities are located in Mansfield, TX. The individual we are seeking will join our Wood Defender Sales Team. Our Wood Defender Product Line has become the contractor’s choice in exterior wood stains. We separate ourselves from other manufacturing companies by offering training to our customers along with the highest quality materials and application equipment for them to maintain a successful business.

    We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, and goal oriented individual to join our sales team as an Outside Sales Representative. We have a rapidly growing product line with great opportunities for a motivated and hardworking individual to become successful.

    The chosen individual will be responsible for growing our Wood Defender product line in the Southeast Territory that includes the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

    OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

    • Must be willing to travel to corporate events, and customers locations within assigned sales territory.
    • Sales calls trips will include: Visiting current distributors, prospecting new distributors, planning and organizing distributor events, and prospecting new contractor business in the area you travel in order to maximize your time and travel expenses.
    • Attend the Wood Defender Monthly Training Class in Mansfield, TX.
    • Prospect and develop new customers within your region to increase territory sales.
    • Assist current customers and potential new customer with product related questions.
    • Work well in a team environment.
    • Work with self-discipline to properly manage your time in a home office setting when not traveling.
    • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Outside business-to-business sales experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
    • High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skills
    • Proficiency with computer, Microsoft Office and internet
    • Basic math skills to assist customers in figuring quotes and material usage
    • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
    • Must be able to pass D.O.T. Physical, No CDL required
