Job Description

The SOFTWARE DEVELOPER will assist in designing, developing, and testing scalable enterprise applications. This position will work with a team of developers, analysts, and stakeholders to provide the highest quality software and services to better serve our internal and external customers.

DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF SOFTWARE AND SYSTEMS

• Design and use computer programming to develop or update corporate/branch/franchise systems and software packages, including but not limited to Corpsys, Power Magic, Power Magic Mobile, ERP, CRM, AX Operating systems and Stanley Steemer Online.
• Maintain and improve existing software systems.
• Develop code for new applications or enhancements to existing applications
• Provide support for existing applications.
• Ensure items are delivered on schedule and comply with best practices and standards.

INTERACTION WITH END-USERS

• Interface with end users to ensure that system development meets their needs.
• Consult with other department such as Accounting, Human Resources, and Business Development about software system design and maintenance.
• Interface with the Help Desk to provide technical support and expertise in resolving software related issues. Troubleshoot data related or programmatic issues.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings.
• Participate in estimating and planning project work.

PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT

• Work with quality assurance analyst to test products, ensuring that programming standards are met.
• Conduct trial runs of proprietary programs to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct and correcting as needed.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements Stay current on new development technologies.
• Conceptualize practical solutions from requirements.
