Were a young tech startup thats growing fast-- weve built a new online community of film & TV fans that recently passed 60,000 users. Our mission is to change the way people talk about movies & TV. Were building a new type of buzz to drive movie attendance and TV tune-in, oftentimes working with studios, TV networks, and major cinema chains to do so. Finance, Product Hunt, and TechHive About the Role Were looking for an intern to help with with a variety of tasks that fall within our community management and customer/technical support. Responsibilities will include engaging with users through a variety of channels including our loyalty program, support requests, and our social media accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in a communications-related field, with a focus in customer/technical support and social media. As a member of a tight-knit startup team, you will help define how our community outreach is structured and how it evolves, so innovation and creativity are qualities we value in an applicant. You will report directly to our Product & Community Manager. Job Responsibilities * Engaging with users through a variety of channels, including responses to community/technical support messages and interactions via social media, weekly newsletters/emails, and more. * Coordinating users progression through our loyalty program, Stardust Superstars, and being the first point of contact for members of the program. * Using creativity and innovation to pitch ideas on new ways to keep our community of users active and engaged on the app. * Assisting the Product & Community Manager in their day-to-day tasks. Job Requirements * Current university student or graduate, ideally in a communications-related field * Excellent written & verbal communication skills * A thorough understanding of the Stardust app and its features * Proven & demonstrated knowledge of social media and how to communicate with online communities * Experience in a leadership and/or community management role * Ability to organize and coordinate multiple responsibilities at the same time Helpful, but not essential * Experience with messaging tools such as Intercom and MailChimp * Technical knowledge and/or experience in a computer science-related field * A passion for film & TV is a a major plus! Pay $13.25/hour This is a part-time position. Days/Hours are flexible. Dates Wed like to fill this role as soon as we can. This is a 2-month internship position, starting July 11, 2018 at the earliest. There will be the opportunity to continue the role into the Fall months upon successful evaluation.
